Victorian silver locket with cable detail, c1880
We’re big fans of antique jewellery that almost looks as though it could have been made today.
That’s certainly the case for this Victorian sterling silver locket from about 1880.
The strong, clean lines of the vertical cable link are bordered by two rows of more intricate rope work.
It's English, though unmarked. This was common at the time, before stricter hallmarking laws came into place. It makes no difference to the price or desirability.
And the condition is immaculate.
