Edwardian five-stone sapphire and diamond ring, c1910
Antique sapphires and diamonds complement each other in this antique ring in 18-carat yellow gold from about 1910.
The setting style, often referred to as London Bridge, is reminiscent of the arches of the old London Bridge, not the current one.
This handcrafted scalloped setting style was extremely popular in the Edwardian period.
It’s a fairly wide ring, so it will look best on a larger finger.
The gemstones are lovely old oblong cushion cuts. All of them are well matched and lively.
