Retro gold and platinum diamond ring, c1940

$8,900.00

This stylish Retro diamond ring makes a bold statement. Thick round bands of yellow gold and platinum surround the central platinum-set motif holding just over a carat of old cut diamonds.

Made about the time of the Second World War or just after, jewels like this were a radical departure from the prevailing Art Deco style.

Round lush three-dimensional lines and lavish use of gold took over from the flat white straight lines of the preceding decades.

We love this ring from all angles. When looked at side on you can see the two separate sections of gold and platinum harmoniously merging.
