Edwardian turquoise and pearl brooch, c1900

$990.00

This lovely brooch features bright pear shaped turquoises complemented by lustrous natural pearls, handcrafted in 15-carat gold in about 1900.

The design is open and light, moving away from the solid, substantial look of most Victorian jewellery and into the pretty, delicate look of the Edwardian period.

Antique jewellery set with pearls and turquoise can be a bit sad if either have discoloured, which – as both are porous – happens often.

This charming piece features stones as pristine as when they were first set.
